Interview with our Executive Director

Jennifer Rocha, Executive Director

Welcome!

My name is Jennifer Rocha. I am so thrilled to be a small part of the tremendous success Prairie View Assisted Living has experienced over the last 17 years.  I have always been deeply passionate about our aging population. My mother was an LPN, and as a little girl, I would go to her facilities with her and sing and entertain the residents. As a little girl and young woman I knew the joy I felt in bringing some light into their lives. I loved the stories, I loved seeing the families and the legacy of love represented in their stories.

I manage the day-to-day operations in the community with the assistance of my entire team. I believe that I am surrounded by a fabulous team of employees and I firmly believe that’s the only way the community can be successful. My upper management team is truly the most supportive team I have ever encountered in my career.

My departmental managers take their jobs seriously and are so dedicated to our residents, their teams, and the success of this community. Everyone works so well together in order to provide an amazing, warm and friendly home for our residents. I always say “We work in our residents’ home and we are their guests not the reverse. Our residents, their families and guests always come first.

I graduated from Columbia College Chicago with a bachelor’s degree in Business and a Business Management Cognate. I have over 25 year’s experience with Seniors from direct care, to financial planning and building management. I have earned several certificates in Memory Care and Senior Issue curriculums.

I love to travel and I honestly, love the mountains more than the beach, but I will go on any new adventure. I currently reside in Rockford, IL. Just about a 17 min. drive to my building.  I have 5 adult children, and 2 granddaughters. I also care for my aging mother who is not quite ready for assisted living, but when she is, I will not hesitate to have her here in my building.

I place a huge focus on relationships, connection, authenticity, and creativity in the workplace. Our team truly feels like family. Our families are our families and our residents are our most valued family members. From the tour to the move-in my team is here to help. I look forward to meeting you and your loved one. Feel free to contact us at any time with questions or to schedule a tour!

Sincerely,

Jennifer Rocha
